Job Description

This document provides specific information regarding the tasks competitors will undertake during the Skills53 Cloud Computing competition at the Regional Championships 2025. It outlines the process, expectations, and the AWS services that will be used.

Tasks Overview

Competitors will be required to solve a series of cloud computing challenges using AWS services. These tasks are designed to reflect real-world scenarios and will test your problem-solving abilities, creativity, and technical skills. The competition will focus on infrastructure-related services within AWS.

For a detailed overview of the competition, including how it works, rules, and preparation opportunities, visit the General Description page.

Process

Login and Setup

On the day of the competition, you will receive credentials to log into the competition platform. It is essential to confirm your personal details such as name, school, or employer for ranking purposes. This ensures that your progress is accurately tracked and reported.

Task Execution

You will have three hours to complete as many tasks as possible. The tasks can be completed in any order, and you can switch between tasks at any time. This flexibility allows you to strategize and manage your time effectively. Real-time scoring will be available to track your progress, providing immediate feedback on your performance.

Hints and Support

During the competition, you can request hints for tasks if you find yourself stuck. However, using hints will reduce your score slightly. It is encouraged to focus on applying your knowledge and problem-solving skills to solve the tasks independently. This approach not only maximizes your score but also enhances your learning experience.

Submission and Scoring

Your progress is graded automatically in real time, so there is no need to submit results manually. Ensure all tasks are completed within the allotted time to maximize your score. The real-time grading system provides feedback within minutes, allowing you to see how well you are performing throughout the competition.
