Training #

There are three different training methods available to you as a competitor, should you wish to prepare yourself for the regional championships. First of, there are two offerings provided via AWS Academy, which is a dedicated online platform for educating yourself about AWS. If you have registered yourself via Google Forms for training opportunities, you should have received emails for two different courses, which are further explained below:

  • AWS Academy Cloud Foundations [72453]: This official AWS Academy course provides you with a solid foundation regarding various important infrastructure services available on the AWS platform. You can work yourself through the various modules offered and most of them also feature a final lab exam, which you can attempt to check your gathered knowledge. Please note that this is a generic course and while many topics are covered, not all of them are relevant for the regional championships.
  • AWS Academy Learner Lab [72454]: This official AWS Academy course is a free sandbox environment where you can use up to 100$ worth of cloud resources for testing various scenarios. You do not have to provide any credit card information and can safely test your newly gathered knowledge or strengthen your knowledge by building own scenarios with AWS services.

Please note that each course invite must be accepted individually and you should end up with two courses if you signed yourself up properly. In addition to this, there is also a third training method available, which lets you complete some of last years tasks on the real competition platform:

  • Demo Competition: Click here for further information about the demo competition. This training method is especially useful for those who want to get a feeling for the competition platform and the tasks that are being asked during the regional championships.

Are you interested in joining the various training opportunities? Please fill out the Google Forms to receive the necessary information and links to the training platforms. Please note that you currently need to be an apprentice at a Swiss vocational school to be eligible for these training opportunities. In case there are any uncertainties, feel free to contact us at any time.
